a space in Newcastle and online to connect, express, and explore your inner world

At Walk Within, I offer a compassionate and creative space where art becomes a pathway to healing, insight, and transformation. Based in Newcastle and also working online, I welcome clients both locally and from afar. You don’t need to be “good at art” – this process isn’t about the finished product, but about what unfolds as you create. Through gentle guidance and intuitive exploration, transpersonal art therapy allows you to connect with the deeper parts of yourself – beyond words, beyond roles – and find meaning, clarity, and resilience from within.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, or simply feeling the call to reconnect with your inner self, this space welcomes all of you. Sessions are designed to meet you exactly where you are. We work together using a range of expressive tools – painting, drawing, collage, clay, movement, and guided visualisation – to support emotional release, personal growth, and self discovery.

This is a safe, non-judgemental environment where you are held with deep presence and respect. Walk Within invites you to slow down, tune in, and allow your creative voice to lead the way. Here, healing is an inner journey of coming home to yourself through connection and expression.

Client Testimonials

  • "This was my first time trying art therapy, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Chelsea made the experience so welcoming and comfortable. I was able to express myself in a completely different way, and it felt so relaxing. It was such an enjoyable experience, and I left feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected with myself. I can’t wait to come back."

    Eve Farmer

“Chelsea provided me with a calm, safe space where I felt able to discuss my concerns. My experience using the art expression was remarkable. I highly recommend Chelsea and look forward to more sessions.”

    Megan Wright

  • "My six-week journey with Chelsea was nothing short of pure magic. From the very beginning, she held me with such deep presence, care, and intuitive guidance. Through transpersonal art therapy, I was able to explore parts of myself I hadn’t known how to access before — gently, creatively, and without judgment.

Each session became a portal, helping me navigate inner landscapes with courage and curiosity. I uncovered layers, released old stories, and found new ways of expressing and understanding myself. Chelsea created a space where I felt deeply seen, supported, and safe to truly go there.

This work went beyond what I imagined. It wasn’t just therapy — it was soul work. And I’m walking away with tools, insights, and a deeper connection to myself that I’ll carry forward.

Thank you, Chelsea, for holding me so beautifully in this transformation.”

    Becky Tickle

  • “It was such an insight on how therapy can be embodied more creatively through art and practicing coping systems through visualisation and meditation. I can’t wait to work with Chelsea again, there was a natural trust which came from day 1 of our session where she acted with sympathy and no judgement and was able to hold space regardless of what I opened up about. Thank you Chelsea, you guided me through a journey of facing old skeletons and honouring myself again.”
